Job description

A U.S.-based company that is building a cross-platform mobile app for livestreamed auctions is looking to hire a talented and experienced Mobile Engineer. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of the product, which is still in the early beta stage, by testing and refining it to make sure it’s market-ready for a public release. As an integral part of the early-stage beta product development team, the mobile engineer will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and successful public launch. This position requires a 4-hour overlap with the UTC-8 timezone, and it’s an ideal opportunity for mobile developers looking to build an international career.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to build a high-quality cross-platform mobile app using Flutter
  • Utilize JavaScript/Typescript on the back-end to enhance app functionalities and optimize performance
  • Participate in the testing and refinement processes to iron out any existing issues and ensure a polished user experience inside the app
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, mobile app best practices, and app store guidelines to ensure successful app publication and user adoption

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a mobile engineer
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience in building and shipping mobile apps using Flutter
  • At least 3+ years of experience and proficiency with JavaScript/Typescript in back-end app development
  • Nice to have experience with Shippo or other shipping providers    
  • Familiarity with app store publication processes and guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Nice to have experience with Supabase and PostgreSQL
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adhere to project timelines
  • Excellent English skills to communicate clearly and effectively with the team
