Job description

A well-funded startup introducing the next evolutionary step in wearables and unlocking unprecedented new capabilities is looking for a Mobile Developer. The developer will join a tight-knit team and work closely with a highly collaborative team of engineers on a newly produced biometric wearable. The company is developing products at the intersection of hardware and software, human and machine learning, consumer and medical, to create new capabilities and experiences. Candidates who are passionate about helping deeply underserved patient populations to live their best lives are suitable for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams & stakeholders to extract requirements and distill them into organized and actionable plans
  • Develop fully-functional and optimized mobile applications
  • Take ownership of the company's React Native mobile app and engage in all aspects of the product design
  • Identify bugs/issues and debug/troubleshoot to optimize performance
  • Regularly plan and develop innovative features/updates
  • Implement the latest concepts and best practices 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Dart, React, Node.js, and Python
  • Experience working with 3rd party cloud infrastructures such as AWS or GCP
  • Well-versed with some or all of the following databases/frameworks/libraries/tools - AWS S3, GitHub Actions, Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, IAM, DynamoDB, Stripe 
  • Proficient in collaboration tools like GitHub, GitHub Projects, and Jira
  • Knowledge of React Native, Flutter, and Matlab is a plus
  • Experience with React Native, Flutter, and Matlab
  • Experience applying Lean startup methodologies
  • Excellent verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
