Job description

An early-stage company that offers parental monitoring on kids' smartphones is looking for a Mobile Developer. The developer will collaboratively brainstorm with the team and help design high-quality mobile solutions. The company’s strong commitment to the well-being of children led them to develop a fully functional smartphone with unlimited monitoring access for parents or guardians. The selected candidate will solve problems and help build new things that provide value to scale the mission of raising a generation of digitally responsible individuals.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Get into the nitty-gritty of the mobile software development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Ability to face challenges with strong grit
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, data-driven, excellent at time management and planning
  • Flexible and willing to pivot with no forewarning
  • Self-awareness on shortcomings without picking offense on feedbacks What You Know
  • Proficiency with Kotlin and Android SDK
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and how to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Sound Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries available for common tasks
  • AN understanding of cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) - especially serverless
  • Competency in Test-Driven Development, DevOps, and Agile ScrumBan
  • Expertise in functional programming philosophy and patterns
  • Experience in Go, Java, Bash, C & C++
  • Conversant with Makefiles, Docker, Real-time messaging - NATS, Kafka, or similar
