Job description

A rapidly-growing, one-of-a-kind content platform that encourages users to get off the digital space and do something productive is looking to hire a Mobile Developer. The developer will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications. The platform aims to inspire new life-enhancing ways to spend time, helping users to tip the scales back into balance between life online and off by collaborating with expert curators across arts, travel, impact, lifestyle, and more. This will be a full-time role that requires some overlap with the EST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, test, release, and support
  • Implement perfect pixel designs with advanced animations
  • Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest iOS development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Prolific experience working with Swift, GraphQL, JSON, and JavaScript
  • Nice to have prior experience with Kotlin, React Player, Apollo, Firebase, Anchorage, Kingfisher, PostgreSQL, and Heroku
  • Extensive experience with Standard Android Jetpack libraries (Navigation, LifeCycle, DataBinding, DataStore, etc.)
  • Experience working with Google's ExoPlayer for video playback and streaming
  • Understanding of Koin (Dependency Injection Framework), Apollo (GraphQL client), Glide (Efficient image loading/caching), Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Authentication), JUnit, and Mock for Unit testing and mocking
