Job description

A fast-growing healthcare company that has built a robust whole-person solution for managing diabetes, blood pressure, heart health, and weight is looking for a Mobile Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of both the iOS and Android’s ongoing development and enhancement. The company uses behavioral science, mobile computing, and data science to improve the lives of individuals living with diabetes and other chronic illnesses all over the world. During their Series C round, the company managed to raise funding worth more than $100 mn. This role requires some overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact and collaborate regularly with the product and UX team
  • Design, create and support the Android app development
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver best in class mobile experiences to iOS users
  • Keep an eye out for QA/UX/aesthetics
  • Lead changes, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Write high-quality, high-performing, and well-tested code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of software development experience 
  • 3+ years of experience working on Android apps with a team
  • 2-4 years of experience building iOS apps in a team environment
  • Experience working with iOS services and extensions, like HealthKit, Apple Watch apps, SiriKit, Today widgets, and notifications
  • Familiarity with RxSwift and Kotlin
  • Demonstrable experience building Android apps independently or as part of a team
  • Experience launching apps in the Google Play Store and App store
  • Demonstrable ability to learn new technologies fast and make decisions under stress
  • Deep understanding of development best practices
  • Proficiency in Swift and a working knowledge of Objective-C
  • Skilled at assimilating new technologies quickly and making an impact
  • Sound expertise in iOS SDK, OO, data modeling, design patterns, RESTful APIs, and writing clean code
  • Good visual design skills and the ability to come up with amazing user experiences
