Job description

The developer will work with software engineers, QA analysts, product managers, business units, clients, and other shared infrastructure resources across multiple teams to deliver quality solutions and support to the SaaS technology stack. Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like front-end, back-end, support, and even with external clients 
  • Develop, implement, and scale software applications with AWS 
  • Experience with SQL database scripts to fix/clean data issues, defining SQL schema, and optimizing SQL queries 
  • Write maintainable, readable, and highly-performant codes
  • Design and develop new and innovative web applications 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot existing web applications 
  • Develop and integrate data storage into the software solutions
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs 
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and help them work towards their professional goals
  • Build APIs and also work on scaling and maintaining them

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Ruby on Rails developer
  • Knowledge of common Ruby-based libraries and frameworks
  • Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue
  • Well-versed in deploying and scaling software applications with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred) 
  • Proficiency in defining SQL schema and optimizing SQL queries 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Passion for both programming and architecting
  • Strong command over OOP language and a back-end framework (for example, Ruby + Rails / Java + Spring / PHP + Laravel; Ruby + Rails preferred) 
  • Hands-on experience in managing a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as CircleCI or Gitlab 
  • Expertise in writing effective tests and working with testing solutions (for example, RSpec, Jest, Puppeteer, Cyprus, etc.)
  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes or other containerized deployment solutions would be an added benefit
  • Ability to learn new technologies and stay at the forefront of modern software engineering
  • Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
