Job description

A U.S.-based company that is building a reliable banking platform that allows businesses to offer their clients financial services, is looking for an IT Systems Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating procedures and making updates to ensure SOC compliance. The company is the only BaaS provider that guarantees everyone across the globe has access to top-notch financial solutions regardless of their financial standing. The company has managed to secure $48mn+ during their Series B round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Exercise caution when managing assets, and update any necessary processes for doing so
  • Control the building's security access for Brivo vendors
  • Design, configure, install, and maintain cloud-based servers, storage, network, and application solutions
  • Handle IT problems and alarms quickly and professionally
  • Work together to develop network and security standards, including the investigation and assessment of potential technology alternatives, and create diagrams and written setup instructions for a system
  • Retain all the necessary computer equipment and backup tools
  • Investigate problems and troubleshoot system, network, SSO, 2FA, etc. 
  • Help identify and fix hardware or software problems, and replace components as necessary
  • Plan and implement the annual security training for the entire organization
  • Monitor and keep up with computers, applications like GSuite, Zoom, Synapse Applications, and other programs
  • Deliver IT orientation to new hires and assist with IT during their onboarding and exit procedures
  • Help end-users with a variety of tasks, such as system configuration or problem-solving, face-to-face via Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, or over the phone
  • Participate as an on-call participant during emergency situations and system maintenance updates, and remain accessible until the problem is addressed, reduced, or resolved
  • Shared findings should be recorded and presented to Platform Engineering for any necessary help

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an IT Systems Administrator
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating, planning, and managing IT environments
  • Proven systems implementation skills
  • Strong knowledge of observing issues, locating their sources, and starting remedial measures is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of setting up and administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) software on business devices
  • Prior experience identifying network issues and troubleshooting software and hardware errors
  • Ability to successfully onboard new hires and make sure they have all the tools and applications they need from the get-go
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
