Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to offer industry-leading transportation services is looking for an Integration Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of assembling and overseeing technical documentation and self-service integration resources. The company arranges for customers with shipping requirements to connect with carriers that have the capacity and services available. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Collect and evaluate client and corporate needs to find and rank chances to enhance workflows and efficiencies through integration
  • Create and put into practice integration improvements and flows, such as file-based and/or API-based integrations
  • Collaborate with both internal and external development and design teams to oversee and assist in the creation of integration solutions, prototypes, and best practices
  • Ascertain, carry out, and automate load, performance, and integration tests; additionally, assist in configuring test accounts and data
  • Put procedures in place that watch integration performance proactively
  • Flexibility in identifying, resolving, and informing affected teams and stakeholders about integration issues
  • Create, uphold, and abide by standards, best practices, and development and integration processes
  • Utilize input from stakeholders to direct the creation of new products and integration improvements
  • Junior integration engineers should receive guidance and mentoring.
  • Give guidance and leadership to an integration engineering team
  • Attend code deployment meetings and take part in the weekly support rotation to address issues as they arise


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as an Integrations Engineer
  • 5+ years of integration engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Boomi Integration Development experience
  • Strong familiarity with the development, testing, and troubleshooting procedures involved in integration design and development
  • Demonstrable experience with integrating data and implementing workflows
  • Proficiency in data distribution, modeling, and manipulation across applications
  • Strong command of pertinent programming languages, such as SQL and C#
  • Familiarity with OAUTH 2.0, event brokers, RESTful APIs, and data virtualization, among other technologies used in system integration
  • Nice to have some background using different integration platforms
  • extensive background in B2B EDA and Boomi integration
  • Familiarity with the form of the trading partner
  • In-depth knowledge of creating bespoke scripts for Boomi processes and maps
  • Proven ability to create effective, high-performing processes
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical designs and business procedures
  • Outstanding intellectual and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to explain complicated technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders that are not technical
  • Flexibility and an eagerness to pick up new techniques, tools, and frameworks
  • Clear comprehension of the different integration patterns
  • Strong familiarity with X12 EDI Standards and EDI Documents
  • Knowledge of the API development life cycle, API security, API governance, and API management (using Azure API Management or another)
  • Good to have some experience working in the logistics sector
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
