Job description

A U.S.-based company that is creating a codeless platform that will enable organizations to foster cross-functional innovation, is looking for a DevOps/TechOps Engineer. The engineer will be engaging in collaborative planning for the product roadmap, sprint scheduling, and stand-up meetings. The company works with organizations to reduce technical debt, future-proof applications, and speed up digital transformation. The company has managed to secure $364mn+ during their Series C round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Submit an engineering report to the Cloud Infrastructure team's manager
  • In order to achieve high availability, resilience, scalability, security, and cost optimization in AWS, Azure, and GCP, automate and maintain our services while making improvements
  • Develop our systems by advocating for modifications that eliminate obstacles, and scale them sustainably using tools like automation
  • Collaborate with the engineering teams throughout the company to comprehend the various services and needs in order to help supply them with the greatest outcomes possible
  • Use blameless postmortems and sustainable incident response techniques
  • Compose documentation for each project you work on
  • Develop tools with Ansible and Terraform to deploy and monitor our critical cloud infrastructure, and define everything as code
  • Encourage the use of best practices for high availability, automation, security, and scalability
  • Create infrastructure and procedures for software release and deployment (CI/CD)


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps/TechOps developer
  • 3+ years of expertise in the cloud using AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • 3+ years of experience building large-scale cloud infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary web services architectures and networking
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT operations and best practices in an always-up and available service
  • Prior experience as an administrator of Linux/Unix
  • Some prior production experience with container orchestration solutions like Nomad or Kubernetes
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices and security auditing
  • Prior experience using software (Terraform and Ansible) to construct infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile procedures
  • Prior knowledge of infrastructure security issues and solutions
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
