Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is leveraging the power of ML and AI technologies to accelerate commercial insurance performance is looking for a DevOps/Security Engineer. The engineer will help build a strong team and deliver on high-impact objectives while partnering with teams on organizational security initiatives. The US-based company's advanced technological solutions help to create value from unstructured information and resolve the insurance industry’s most substantive challenges. The company has managed to raise more than $30mn in funding during its Series C round. This is a great opportunity for developers who are able to exercise sound judgment and thrive in ambiguous situations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, scalable, and clear design documentation
  • Drive security reviews, implement detections, and remediate findings
  • Implement and enforce least privilege, separation of development environments
  • Contribute with secure design, operation, and configuration of multi-cloud and container environments
  • Establish and execute a roadmap for secure cloud architecture
  • Implement, administer, and monitor network security systems
  • Write readable, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Design security protocols to secure Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes at scale
  • Lead large projects from inception to implementation
  • Unblock, support, and communicate with internal partners to achieve results
  • Design and implement cloud security solutions for monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and attack surface analysis and risk reduction
  • Collaborate with engineering organizations to build inherently secure cloud architecture solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps/Security Engineer
  • Experience with modern programming languages like Python, Java, Go, and distributed systems
  • Strong expertise with AWS
  • Expertise in cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts
  • Prior experience with Kubernetes and container security
  • Familiarity with securing and hardening Linux hosts
  • Strong background in networking and virtual cloud-based networks
