Job description

A fast-growing Silicon Valley-based company that is helping customers with wealth creation, is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building new features and improving the current infrastructure of the modules and pipelines. The firm is working on helping companies to build simple APIs and personalize investment management. It is a great opportunity for developers who enjoy working on intellectually challenging problems while bringing about significant positive changes to society.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and improve the infrastructure-as-code modules and pipelines (Terraform, CDK)
  • Create a best-in-class monitoring suite that seamlessly connects the infrastructure with the monitoring tool (Datadog)
  • Build out large scale systems in repeatable, reliable ways
  • Build automation for detecting and responding to alerts and events
  • Harden the existing EKS clusters
  • Build best-in-class automation to meet the SLAs
  • Build out GitOps workflows and continuously improve the CI/CD process

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-4+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer working with technologies like Terraform, CDK, pulumi or other infrastructure as code
  • Highly proficient with Terraform and CDK
  • Deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining EKS clusters
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as Go, Typescript, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS Kinesis, and Istio
  • Demonstrable experience deploying highly reliable services in production
  • Prior experience with automating maintenance and monitoring of AWS databases is nice to have
