Job description

A fast-growing company that is developing a fintech platform that connects partner brands with resellers to sell their financial products and services, is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be examining business and functional requirements to streamline the system and help build robust products. The company is enabling Fintech brands to reach out to the right consumers while empowering consumers to access the best financial solutions in the market. The company has managed to secure $17.5mn+ during their Series A round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and construct new development infrastructure and tools
  • Development and release processes (CI/CD) should be automated and improved
  • Utilize Terraform to plan and implement infra as code
  • Release software updates and bug fixes
  • Set up integration and functional test environments
  • Secure the software to guard against security flaws and other weaknesses
  • Make changes to the process to increase effectiveness and success
  • Create a monitoring infrastructure that is in accordance with the goals of the business

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience designing and working with modern CI/CD solutions
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, or other tools
  • Working experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
  • Familiarity with software security methods
  • Proficiency with agile software development lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully across functions
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
