Job description

A U.S.-based company that has developed a no-coding technology that helps large enterprises construct complex customized applications efficiently is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for cooperating with various engineering divisions, such as Infrastructure, SRE, and Core Platform. The company's objective is to enable people all over the world to turn amazing ideas into future-proof software. The company has managed to raise more than $350 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extend and maintain the Platform Control Plane (PCP), a distributed group-management system charged with enabling self-service activities ranging from application-server lifecycle management to altering cloud resource configurations.
  • Work with numerous engineering departments, including Infrastructure, SRE, and Core Platform, as well as business departments such as Production Support, Solutions Architecture, and others
  • Create the automation infrastructure that will allow the organization to grow to over 1000 clients
  • Work with other engineering teams and partners in the technology organization to reduce developer pain points
  • Serve on a team of technical architects and developers creating new automation use cases for the control plane and the control plane itself
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Architecture and Production Support teams to develop the internal deployment platform's unifying interface
  • Immerse yourself in the technical environment, learning about the internal organization-facing platforms as well as the exterior customer-facing platforms
  • Create tooling, automation, and functionality to help DevOps and support teams decrease operational overhead

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Python, NodeJS, and Go
  • Familiarity with Rust, C++, and C#
  • Experience building and operating your own codebases/services
  • Experience architecting distributed services within cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Knowledge of debugging, optimizing code, and automating routine tasks
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes administration 
  • Experience provisioning infrastructure with Terraform
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt. Ansible Tower or AWX
  • Advanced experience with NodeJS is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
