Job description

A rapidly growing company that has designed a framework for live performance fine-tuned by skilled musicians to provide exceptional audio and visual qualities is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the team in driving platform scalability and security deployment best practices. The company's platform provides opportunities for all artists by removing antiquated distribution barriers. This will be an excellent chance for candidates to work in a fast-paced startup and grow rapidly.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Control the cloud infrastructure
  • In both bare metal and Kube deployments, monitor the fundamental server architecture as well as the specific software stack installed
  • Provide a continuous build, deployment, execution, and monitoring environment, and be a peer and partner to developers and QA
  • Lead the team in driving scalability and security deployment best practices for the platform
  • Assist with the development, build, and deployment of automation tasks
  • Always respond to texts and phone calls from the founders
  • Automate DevOps, including system and service monitoring, to the fullest extent feasible

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Node.js, and Terraform 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and visualization tools such as Prometheus, Grafans and DataDog
  • Familiarity with Postgres SQL database technology
  • Knowledge of Python and DNS is nice to have
  • Prior success in architecting and delivering full Kubernetes cluster environments
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues across multiple functional areas - engineering, client support, QA, finance, cloud support teams, etc.
  • Excellent verbal English communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
