Job description

A US-based company providing industry-leading SaaS solutions for randomization and trial supply management is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for supporting application deployments, automation pipelines, and actively improving the infrastructure. The company is partnering with health sciences organizations and helping them execute clinical trials while focusing on their patients. The company has managed to raise more than $38mn in funding so far.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work within the team to assist in DevOps operations, On-Prem and future cloud deployments
  • Support application deployments, automation pipelines and work across teams to actively improve the web infrastructure and monitoring capabilities 
  • Direct support for production issues in a future on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with global development and testing teams across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to deliver products and services while also removing blockers
  • Deliver work within stipulated deadlines that fully addresses the intended criteria, goals, and objectives
  • Create and maintain Terraform/Ansible scripts for software infrastructure
  • Build and monitor highly available systems on Kubernetes
  • Create and maintain fully automated pipelines for code deployment using VMWare infrastructure, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, and Artifactory in a dynamic environment
  • Document and maintain deployment process for assigned product and/or services 
  • Implement an effective strategy for best-in-class tools, languages, and practices related to infrastructure and firewall operations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Helm, and Terraform
  • Demonstrable experience with containerization/orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Prior experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
  • Proven experience working with version control systems and migrations, including Git/bitbucket
  • Experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu) and scripting experience with languages like Bash, Python, or Groovy is required 
  • Experience with monitoring/log aggregation tools, including NewRelic and Elastic 
  • Experience with VMWare vCenter/AWS
  • Solid understanding of TLS/SSL, public-private key cryptography, how certificates work, and mutual authentication
  • Understanding of IP addressing, firewalls, open ports, DNS & DHCP
  • Experience supporting Agile Scrum/Kanban teams
  • Experience with databases servers, including SQL Server
