Job description

A fast-growing company that enables businesses to easily move, analyze, and transform their data is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be assisting the team with software development and deployments on Google Cloud. The US-based company makes it easier for businesses to start streaming their data through a drag and drop interface. This is a great opportunity for developers to join the team in building an advanced platform by leveraging the power of data.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate with a small team, have a growth mindset, and take on increasing responsibility over time
  • Work with a problem-solving attitude to get things done within deadlines
  • Develop highly scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging tasks for software upgrades using a test-oriented approach
  • Communicate with different team members
  • Build and maintain applications on different platforms 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Google Cloud, DevOps, and either JavaScript or Go (Golang)
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, and project lifecycle management
  • Nice to have some experience with other clouds
  • Knowledge of SQL and database usage
  • Extensive knowledge of serverless cloud environments
  • Ability to work tightly with a team as well as independently on breakout assignments
  • Experience with Terraform or other automation suites is desirable
  • Nice to have experience managing highly available cloud deployments and data at the terabyte scale
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments is nice to have
  • Familiarity with NextJS and/or TypeORM is desirable
