Job description

A fast-growing company building relevant and streamlined decentralized exchanges for specific types of trades, traders, and instruments, is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of modernizing the infrastructure and automating processes to streamline the development cycle. The US-based company is dedicated to changing the industry with their revolutionary tailor-made solutions that make it easier to trade cryptocurrencies. This is a nice opportunity for those who would like to contribute to empowering customers and building elegant solutions. This role requires a significant overlap with the US time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish best practices and standards for the DevOps team, including policies, procedures, runbooks, and disaster recovery processes
  • Develop and implement security best practices for AWS, including adherence to international regulations, review of the framework, cloud failover, scaling, and issue tracing
  • Develop and refine processes for debugging and network configurations
  • Manage reporting and action steps for significant metrics, including alerts for all critical system indicators
  • Work closely with the engineering team to refine and enhance the production and development setups
  • Develop a continuous improvement approach to software development, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with management to hire and build DevOps team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with microservices, Python, S3, Redis, PostgreSQL, and multiple AWS services
  • Strong experience using and maintaining AWS services
  • Extensive experience working with Cloud and on-premises deployment using Jenkins, Cloud Formation, Puppet, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization solutions
  • Solid understanding of Linux, Debian, Amazon Linux, and other related technologies
  • Experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, and NTP
  • Knowledge of Database technologies like PostgreSQL and NoSQL
  • Strong desire to automate everything, including policies, processes, and infrastructure
  • Working experience building, configuring, and deploying applications to AWS
  • Demonstrable ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation
  • Ability to develop modern architecture principles like Infrastructure as Code, Immutable/Disposable/Replaceable Infrastructure, and Automate-all-the-things
  • Solid understanding of information/cloud security best practices
  • Experience installing and configuring various monitoring solutions
  • Nice to have some experience with Blockchain L2 infrastructure
  • Experience programming in Python and an enthusiasm to learn about the DeFi industry is desirable
