Job description

A fast-scaling company dedicated to building Defi-native vaults is looking for a Mid-level DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will join as a founding member and help to shape and support the vision, daily operations, and company culture. The company is building for the emerging decentralised derivatives space focusing on three key areas. This role requires a significant overlap with the AEST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure
  • Develops ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Test and analyze code written by others to maintain quality standards
  • Implement modern security measures to remove cybersecurity vulnerabilities
  • Identify errors and devise effective solutions
  • Providing out of hours technical support
  • Collaborate with other developers for ensuring adherence with project guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Must possess detailed knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Ability to write clean and efficient codes using Python, Perl, etc.
  • Knowledge of working with Yaml scripting, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild
  • Well-versed with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, Microservices, Big Query, Cloud SQL, Cloud DataProc, and Cloud Data Flow
  • Ability to work with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Go/Golang, Blockchain, and Rust
  • Knowledge of API Gateways, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB, AWS Batch, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
  • Well-versed with data storage fundamentals, cloud service patterns, and networking
  • Experience in working on Linux/Unix environments
  • Ability to utilize CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of software testing and troubleshooting methodologies and project management skills
