Job description

A US-based telemedicine platform that provides feedback to medical professionals is looking for a DevOps Engineer. As an engineer, you should be capable of driving software products from inception to production. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of various back-end services. The company believes in an approach of decreasing variability and improving quality with AI. This is a full-time opportunity that requires some time overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work across teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of applications
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering efficiency
  • Design & develop CI/CD pipelines and ensure source code control management
  • Perform architectural/code review & validation, code deployment, etc. in phased releases
  • Provide suggestions for potential projects that can bring impactful results

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AWS DevOps and AWS Solutions Architecture
  • Expert understanding of JavaScript and Typescript
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, REST APIs, and versioning tools (Git) would be a plus
  • Capable of interacting fluently in English with engineering managers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation 
  • Familiarity with Python and AWS CDK (or similar tools like Terraform) is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of HIPAA / HITECH Security and Compliance is nice to have
  • Proficient with AWS DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM is a plus
