Job description

A U.S.-based company that is utilizing powerful AI technology to build next-gen marketing automation tools is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be providing assistance with numerous other additions besides transferring the outdated infrastructure. The company's AI technology enables businesses to initiate conversations, carry on automated conversations, and schedule more appointments. This will be a long-term and full-time position and requires some overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the current company get a newly contained infrastructure up and running
  • Maintain and tend to the current infrastructure when problems occur
  • Participate in weekly meetings on Google Meets, daily Slack communication with supervisor, and provide timely updates for work completed for each day
  • Showcase a willingness to learn new technologies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services like CloudFront, Lambda, S3, BeanStalk, Route53, Firehose, RDS, and CloudWatch
  • Demonstrable experience setting up and maintaining VPNs, VPCs, firewalls, and networks 
  • Prior knowledge of creating shell and bash scripts
  • Extensive working knowledge of Linux OS, including Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, etc.
  • Experience working with Terraform, OpenVPN, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Fargate
  • Working with experience writing small maintenance apps with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Demonstrable experience with OpenSearch and ElasticSearch
  • Solid experience with Lucene's queries
  • Great English communication skills, both spoken and written
