Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is providing people with medication-assisted treatment to battle alcohol dependency, is looking for a Back-End Web Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining APIs for the consumer-facing telehealth web app. The company is trying to change people's experiences with alcohol within the course of the first few weeks. This role requires some overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Make sure that all projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Create new user-facing features and improve existing ones
  • Create reusable components and libraries to be used in the future
  • Investigate and recommend new technologies, as well as establish best practices and coding standards for the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails is a must
  • Extensive experience working with Ruby
  • Experience in Heroku and AWS is nice to have
  • Experience executing tasks and building features
  • Should have great communication skills
