Back-End Systems Engineer

A US-based company that assists users in fostering a culture of information sharing is looking for a Back-End Systems Engineer. The developer will work on providing quality services and development support for existing systems. The company assists both non-technical and technically competent members in finding, creating, and organizing information within the entire business. They have secured fundings worth $2 mn+ so far. This role requires a 4+ hour overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Architect, build and maintain high-quality applications
• Write well-documented and clean code
• Ensure the development and implementation of standard software practices
• Support business intelligence initiatives
• Troubleshoot data and system issues
• Build and extend toolsets

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
• Prolific experience working with Elixir and Ruby on Rails
• Familiarity with Django is nice to have
• Excellent English communication skills
• Great interpersonal and documentation skills
• Ability to self-manage and multitask on multiple projects
