Job description

A U.S.-based company that is offering relevant technology solutions to help businesses tackle security, collaboration, networking, and data centers requirements, is looking for an Azure Synapse Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing and enhancing data models that will help deliver effective and scalable access to data for reporting and analytics. The company has established itself as a specialist technology distributor and is helping their partners to successfully expand their business, along with the sale, purchase, and management of technology in a dynamic environment. This position requires a significant overlap with the EST/CET time zones. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain data pipelines for transferring data from source systems to the data warehouse and for real-time data processing
  • Make sure that other teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, and data analysts, work closely together to ensure that data solutions match business requirements
  • Implement security guidelines, access restrictions, and auditing to guarantee data protection and legal compliance
  • Make sure the system is operating at its best by troubleshooting problems with data pipelines, data models, and other data-related problems
  • Develop data solutions, like data pipelines, data warehousing, and big data solutions, with Azure Synapse Analytics

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of experience working with Azure Synapse
  • 5+ years of experience working with SQL and related technologies
  • Nice to have some understanding of PowerBI
  • Expertise with Microsoft Synapse and ADLS2 2 
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and Microsoft ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology is nice to have
  • Familiarity with SAP HANNA and MS SQL
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
