Job description

A rapidly expanding marketing services company that specializes in forward-looking marketing and technology solutions, catering to a diverse range of industries and markets, is looking to hire a proficient and motivated Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, the developer will take charge of designing, transitioning, cultivating, deploying, and executing efficient applications and services on the Azure Platform. The company places a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of infrastructure and covers all aspects of the clients' cloud implementations. This full-time position requires at least 5-6 hours of overlap with the PST time zone and would be ideal for candidates that possess extensive expertise in a range of cloud technologies, networking, security protocols, and automation techniques.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and implement innovative Azure cloud solutions for clients, ensuring optimum performance, scalability, and dependability
  • Lead and oversee the migration and modernization of workloads from on-site data centers to the Azure cloud environment
  • Develop and manage hybrid environments that fluidly bridge existing customer networks with Azure services
  • Secure, oversee, and manage Azure environments, implementing best-in-class cybersecurity practices and ensuring compliance
  • Construct and implement robust Azure cloud architectures using containerization and orchestration tools, like Kubernetes
  • Employ Azure platform services to architect cloud-native PaaS (Platform as a Service) solutions
  • Execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep
  • Construct and direct Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines via Azure DevOps to facilitate the smooth deployment of infrastructure and applications
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of Azure technologies, encompassing virtual machines, storage, networking, web apps, and more
  • Document procedures, designs, and solutions comprehensively to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintain high-quality documentation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Azure Cloud Engineer
  • Profound technical knowledge in networking, connectivity, storage systems, virtualization technologies, and identity management solutions
  • Established experience in implementing Azure networking solutions within enterprise settings
  • Proficiency in crafting hybrid environments that span on-premise networks and Azure infrastructure
  • Adeptness in safeguarding, monitoring, and administrating Azure environments
  • A successful track record of designing robust Azure cloud architectures
  • Proven expertise in transitioning and modernizing workloads from on-premise data centers to Azure
  • Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes
  • Proficiency across both Windows and Linux operating environments
  • Skillfulness in leveraging Azure platform services to create sophisticated cloud-native PaaS solutions
  • Competence in deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, ARM, and Bicep
  • Proficiency in working with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Azure PowerShell, and Azure Portal
  • Familiarity with configuration management and automation technologies, including PowerShell DSC, Chef, and Puppet
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (VSTS)
  • Proficiency using Azure technologies such as virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and more
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with the team
