Job description

A fast-growing company that is developing next-generation internet experiences to help mobile users have easier access to entertainment, is looking for an Android SDE3 Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining code quality, finding bottlenecks, and fixing them, as well as defects. The company is revolutionizing how the internet is used on the device's lock screen, eliminating the need to look for and download apps. The company has managed to securely raise $387mn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop applications for the Android operating system
  • Ensure the application's functionality, caliber, and responsiveness
  • Work as a team to define, create, and release new features
  • Work with incredibly skilled and ambitious peer groups to make an immediate difference on projects that are vital to the organization
  • Think creatively, create, and inspire others by using cutting-edge technology to transform customer experiences
  • Use technology to create disruptive and innovative consumer experiences
  • Value independence, teamwork, technical innovation, and analytical focus

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as an Android/SDE Engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Kotlin and OOPS concept
  • Demonstrable experience with offline storage databases, threading, and networking
  • Prolific experience with Android Studio tools for performance measuring and memory management
  • In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Solid understanding of Google's design principles and interface guidelines
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Thorough knowledge of code versioning technologies like Git, Mercurial, or SVN
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with continuous integration (CI)
  • Prior experience writing Android Studio Test Cases is desirable
  • Exceptional ability with data structures and logical thinking
  • Prior experience working with the latest Android technologies like RX JAVA, Coroutines, and Kotlin
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
