Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company providing a platform for people to connect, date, and build healthy relationships is looking for an Android Mobile Developer. The developer will be responsible for making app updates on existing applications and building brand new features from scratch for new apps. The company has built products designed to empower women through modernized dating rules and established a community with millions of members spanning various countries. This will be a full-time opportunity requiring up to 8 hours of overlap with the London time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product specifications, create implementations, write code, and deliver Android app feature designs quickly
  • Submit technical ideas and suggestions to improve the product's direction
  • Create test cases and collaborate with quality assurance on a weekly release cycle
  • Work as part of an Agile team, participating in daily standups and weekly planning meetings
  • Maintain build systems and write unit tests
  • Analyze analytics and performance statistics to draw conclusions and motivate change

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience using Kotlin for Android development
  • Experience with working on iOS published applications
  • Advanced Android SDK / Kotlin skills
  • Prolific testing experience with an understanding of design patterns & object-oriented programming
  • Strong knowledge of Android API capabilities at different levels, framework components, and lifecycles
  • Experience working on consumer-facing, mass-market applications is nice to have
  • Knowledge of working with advertisement groups for mobile apps is a plus
  • Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities
  • A positive and logical approach, as well as a willingness to learn 
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality 
  • Enthusiastic and fun to work with
  • A desire to collaborate with a new, social, digital brand
