Job description

A U.S.-based finance company that allows users to accumulate their funds into a portfolio by saving money is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the app is responsive and securing user data. The company also presents users with an option to invest in bitcoins and earn more. This will be a long-term, full-time role that requires 8 hours of overlap with the PT or ET time zone. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $450mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and formulate applications
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Design, build and maintain reliable, reusable, and high-performance Android applications
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness in the apps
  • Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Implement measures to safeguard user data
  • Monitor app reviews to identify areas for improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Android
  • Familiarity with Android Studio and Kotlin
  • Knowledge of AWS and GraphQL is nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
