Job description

A US-based company leveraging the power of AI-based technology to help users communicate and write better English, is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing highly efficient user interface components for the mobile application. The company has successfully built a cloud-based typing assistant that helps users to write more precisely and effectively while traversing complicated grammar constraints. So far, the company has managed to securely raise $350mn+ in funding. This position requires at least 3-4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in building prototypes and suggest improvements wherever necessary
  • Fix bugs in the application and troubleshoot issues regularly 
  • Guide the team on efficient product launches 
  • Conduct code reviews, develop and implement agile and scalable solutions with advanced monitoring and alerting while establishing best practice tools, frameworks, and processes 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an Android engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Android Studio, Kotlin, Java
  • Demonstrable experience launching apps into the market
  • Nice to have experience in Figma
  • Solid understanding of the nuances of shipping an app to users
