Job description

A fast-growing Ed-tech platform committed to providing users with award-winning academic tutoring and test preparation services is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be collaborating closely with the product, design, and stakeholder teams in order to create a real difference in the lives of all students. The company's patented platform, built with technology and AI in mind, connects learners of all ages with professionals, giving exceptional value on both sides of the network. They have securely raised $100mn+ in funding during their Series C round. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create new Android applications and improve the existing ones
  • Work effectively in a team environment with other engineers, product management, and the design team
  • Collaborate across teams and departments with stakeholders and partners
  • Maintain a focus on quality and work iteratively to progress from good to better
  • Write maintainable, performant code that is easy to read and well-documented
  • Create automated tests to thoroughly validate your code's effectiveness
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation
  • Learn from some of the industry's best and brightest
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must have expertise in Android and AWS
  • Have at least one app on the App Store, preferably an available one
  • Extensive knowledge of major Android frameworks 
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly as needed
