Job description

An emerging company that is building a purpose-driven digital banking app is looking for an Android Engineer. The developer will be responsible for leading the development of end-to-end mobile experiences. The FinTech company helps users to make smart financial decisions and put their money where their values are. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside project managers and major stakeholders to understand application requirements
  • Understand and prioritize client recommended feature requests
  • Script reliable, scalable, testable, and clean codes for Android apps
  • Develop complex features and work with APIs and databases
  • Work on testing, debugging, and updating applications while monitoring their performance
  • Work closely with back-end developers and QA for ensuring enhanced scalability and efficiency of applications
  • Contribute to the development of workflows and project schedules
  • Stay true to the current standards of Android development technology and suggest improvements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an Android developer
  • 3+ years of experience with mobile app development using Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK
  • At least 3 years of experience perceiving codes from Figma designs, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Knowledge of publishing applications on the Google PlayStore
  • Well-versed with Android SDK concepts such as views, layouts, action bars, storing data, accessing data, view groups, and others
  • Deep understanding of Android app architecture, UI, Android Studio, and Android NDK
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, data structures, and design patterns
  • Fluent in English to communicate efficiently with team members and stakeholder
