Job description

A US-based company that has built a first-of-its-kind app for frontline healthcare workers is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will join the company’s existing team of iOS engineers to build out a new Android app. The company is on a mission to ensure that healthcare professionals have access to all the tools and resources they need to provide excellent services. The company has managed to raise more than $120K during their Pre-seed round of funding. This will be a great chance for those who want to contribute their expertise in building highly performant apps from scratch.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to design, develop, review and test applications 
  • Write clean, efficient, performant, and secure code
  • Design and build applications that are efficient, reusable, and reliable 
  • Help define and improve the internal standards for style, maintainability, and best industry practices
  • Work closely with product leaders and the technical team to develop scalable solutions  

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an Android engineer
  • Demonstrable experience with Android, Kotlin, and Java
  • Familiarity with Unit testing
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • In-depth knowledge of clean code and architecture principles
