Job description

A U.S.-based company that has established a popular social platform that is connecting users across the globe is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of identifying unique needs and making recommendations while analyzing market trends and user-related data. The company’s innovative platform enables like-minded users to connect, communicate, and join communities while discussing common interests. The company has managed to secure $1.1bn+ during their Series F round of funding. This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Create test and testing techniques to identify problems and fix them
Enhance platform and application performance through investigation and debugging
Create mobile applications that are fully functioning while writing clear, reusable code
Take ownership of projects and establish a product roadmap
Own all phases of a product's lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, release, and support

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android Engineer
5+ years of experience developing user-facing mobile native applications at scale, using Android/Kotlin
Should have experience with Jetpack Compose
Prior experience working on apps that have a minimum of a million os installs or downloads
Nice to have some experience with Go, Python, and GQL
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
