Job description

A real-money online gaming platform that allows users to play entertaining games with their friends and family over video chat is looking for an Android Developer. The selected candidate will build the company’s engineering culture across all teams while developing and deploying the mobile front-end development and deployment standards. The skill-based gaming platform is one of the world's first platforms designed for the smartphone generation while offering real money. During their Series B round, the company raised up to $25 mn+ in funding from top-tier institutional VC enterprises. This will be a full-time position and requires 4+ hours overlap with the IST time zone. It will be an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company with leadership opportunities available as the team continues to expand.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain android apps and libraries in Kotlin and Java
  • Leverage critical thinking skills to iterating quickly and shipping code continuously
  • Lead the mobile tech stack and develop the processes for building, testing, and pushing code
  • Deliver high-quality results through your contributions to cross-functional projects 
  • Take ownership of features or systems and define their long-term impact

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years developing, launching, and supporting high-quality Android applications
  • Solid expertise with the Android SDK and Android devices landscape 
  • Prior experience developing Android apps with Kotlin as well as UI/UX, and Firebase
  • Proficiency with Protobufs, gRPC & HTTP/2
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Golang and Java
  • Communicate effectively on both technical and non-technical subjects 
  • Proficient understanding of challenging issues designed to scale from novice to advanced users
  • Previous expertise in a fast-paced and execution-focused continuous delivery environment
  • A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, and integrity while showcasing urgency and ownership
