Job description

A fast-scaling Fintech startup building utility solutions for the MSME sector is looking for an experienced Android Developer to assist their back-end team. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing various advanced applications for the Android platform. The company enables micro, small and medium businesses to increase efficiency and reduce costs through safe and secure business and financial solutions. Candidates who would like to join a fast-scaling team to make an impact within the fintech space are well suited for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Build advanced applications for the Android platform
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Ensure the high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Identify the application bottlenecks and fix bugs
Collaborate with UI and UX designers, developers, and product managers
Ensure that the application conforms to user specifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
6+ years of experience in building Android applications
Expertise with Android application’s architecture components
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, and related frameworks
Solid understanding of algorithms & data structures, object-oriented design, and database technologies
Understanding of large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable
