Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams and make sure all deliverables align with business requirements
  • Take part in developing innovative application features and UI from wireframe models
  • Assist in developing and deploying both web and mobile applications for the business
  • Be responsible for running regular security and performance checks to maintain/improve app stability and responsiveness
  • Participate in creating scalable and reusable code and also help review existing code
  • Contribute to identifying security threats or errors and assist in fixing the issues to ensure uninterrupted performance
  • Take charge of motivating developers in keeping up-to-date with industry trends and improvising the development process

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of application development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Profound programming experience with languages, including Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, etc.
  • Proficient with Flutter and Dart, and OOP design principles
  • Extensive experience in core programming principles, including design and architecture
  • Expertise in at least one language, like C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Solid understanding of designing and delivering APIs, back-end services, and third-party libraries
  • Strongholds on architectural patterns like MVP, MVC, MVVM, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of mobile app design guidelines for different platforms like Android, iOS, Windows
  • Must have a portfolio of released apps on Android Play Store and/or iOS App Store
  • Fluency in English language for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Well-versed with project tracking software, such as Jira
  • Experience in version control tools, like Git
  • Familiarity with React and My SQL
  • Knowledge of both Android and iOS development is preferred
  • Ability to work in an Agile software development environment
  • Good reasoning, analytical, consultative, and communication skills
