Job description

A U.S.-based company building an efficient platform that enables businesses to deliver fast and relevant digital experiences that drive real results is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be leading projects, researching, exploring, and delivering new and unique experiences. Through AI-powered search, discovery, and recommendations, the company enables businesses to give customers easy access to their online range of products. The company has managed to raise more than $300mn during their Series D round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build open-source demos for Vue InstantSearch, React InstantSearch, InstantSearch.js, etc.
  • Develop JavaScript API client while collaborating with the team
  • Build and integrate new features, troubleshoot errors, and analyze user feedback on existing open-source projects
  • Work closely with the product, design, and marketing teams on the release of new projects and websites
  • Help the organization to scale by providing personalized suggestions to improve the search and discovery experience
  • Work on building new features and bug fixes to other popular open-source projects based on project requirements
  • Implement engineering best practices and processes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Solid understanding of languages like JavaScript (ES5, ES6), Typescript, the DOM, HTML, CSS
  • Must be able to work with tools like Figma/Sketch/Photoshop to build front-end modules
  • Proven experience in building one or more reusable modules (private or public) 
  • Excellent knowledge of frameworks like - React, Angular, Vue.js or Ember.js 
  • Must be dedicated to the idea of shipping quality codes with an eye for immersive user experiences (UX) and always willing to go the extra mile
  • Must be able to interact with contributors and customers confidently
  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English
