Job description

A US-based company that has developed a free app to play video games for money is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building out user interfaces, patterns and abstractions that emphasize the efficiency of the website. The company is building a budding community where anyone can meet and play with others, while providing an environment that encourages learning and growth. It has managed to successfully raise more than $2 mn in funding so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team to create the website from the ground up
  • Keep up with the newest technology and development trends
  • Assist with the scaling of a small engineering team and serve as a mentor to others in your field
  • Convert designs to responsive web elements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Experience building, maintaining, or architecting one or more production web applications
  • Strong front-end experience with React
  • React experience is a must
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is nice to have
  • Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with English as the primary language
