Job description

A rapidly-growing company revolutionizing the sports management industry with relevant and efficient solutions is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be taking ownership of the front-end development pipeline from coding to deployment. The US-based platform provides organizations with a wide range of functionality, third-party integrations, and a professional development community. They have successfully secured more than $33mn in funding during their Series B round. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with design and product teams to comprehend and translate UI requirements into code
  • Front-end coding must be completed during development sprints to produce great, consistent UI
  • Each sprint, collaborate with back-end developers to create an end-to-end solution
  • Develop in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and third-party libraries or frameworks like jQuery and React
  • Carry out UI development for web, desktop, and mobile web
  • Maintain and manage a consistent front-end framework as the UIs are updated
  • As the platform tech stack evolves, research, prototype, and advise on new front-end technologies and tools
  • Develop the design system so that it can be used by multiple teams
  • Create test cases for cross-browser testing and contribute to the QA Engineering process
  • Troubleshoot and escalate technical support for production features involving UI / front-end
  • Drive the accessibility strategy

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Expert understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 that includes the use of Flexbox model, columns, grids, transforms, and transitions
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript
  • 3+ years of experience developing complex web applications using React
  • Experience with Typescript is a plus
  • Proficient with automated testing like Jest, Cypress, etc., RESTful API design, and CI/CD 
  • Experience working with Agile environment using Scrum 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
