Job description

A fast-growing company that is building an innovative app that helps customers to better manage and pay off their student debt, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The developer will be responsible for documenting the codebase and engaging in the knowledge-sharing process with other engineers. Regardless of employment, income, or credit score, the company argues that individuals should have access to expert student loan advice. The company has managed to securely raise more than $5mn during their Seed round of funding. This will be a full-time role and will be an excellent opportunity for developers to work closely with industry veterans. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build amazing user experiences, collaborate with our product, design, and growth teams
  • Own code and documentation that is easy to understand and maintain
  • Articulate and advocate best practices like creation, deployment, and ideation in code reviews
  • Make the products and codebase better

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a front-end engineer
  • 4+ years experience building great consumer experiences
  • Experience in React.js, Node.js, and Amazon RDS is a must
  • Creative and critical thinker with a track record of resolving complicated problems fast
  • SME in the field of componentized and structured frontend experiences
  • Enjoy managing the software development lifecycle, utilizing data to promote continuous improvement, and ensuring that the team's promises are met in light of shifting customer demands
  • Experience working on a collaborative development team and clear communication skills 
  • Persuasive communication abilities with the judgement to be client-facing
  • Self-driven and capable of navigating ambiguity
  • Team player who enjoys mentoring and learning from others
