Senior Front-End Engineer

A fast-growing company that provides solid digital services and sales through its dealer management system is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be involved in developing enterprise systems like e-commerce, manufacturing, supply chain, etc. The fast-paced startup's advanced technology connects businesses through seamless integrations to provide dealers an edge to sell more. They have managed to raise $400mn+ during their Series D round of funding. This will be a long-term, full-time role requiring 8+ hours overlap with the IST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recognize the user persona and provide a smooth experience
• Take part in the solution design, implementation, optimization, and support of the platform 
• Offer technical knowledge at every stage of the project lifecycle
• Prepare the design process of elements within the subsystem (one or more of client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization) 
• Proficient in communicating to clients and the project team the benefits and drawbacks of utilizing one technology stack, component, or design pattern over another 
• Facilitate technology and design decisions to arrive at the best architecture
• Drive a module's performance by tweaking, re-designing, and refactoring as well as designing and building complex modules
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the application's build, release, and system configuration and deployment characteristics
• Implements (by hand) the module components in accordance with current frameworks, open-source standards, and best practices
• Mentors the team (module developers and other members of the project team) on technology principles and best practices for design, implementation, and other processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, jQuery, HTTP, and React Native
• Possess a can-do attitude and a strong sense of belonging
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, DOM, and W3C standards
• An understanding of basic rest principles and project management software such as JIRA, etc.
• Be conversant with enterprise systems, such as e-commerce, manufacturing, and supply chain management, among others
• JavaScript (ReactJS/Redux) experience is required
• Excellent performance and optimization techniques knowledge
• Working with Git is a plus
• Track record of working in a fast-paced startup setting is a plus
