Job description

A US-based cloud-built platform building a dealer management system to help transform businesses is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be partnering with the existing team to deliver well-engineered, tested, and timely solutions. The company is leveraging the power of advanced machine learning and AI technologies to deliver a personalized and seamless consumer experience. They have managed to raise $400mn+ in funding during their Series D round. This will be a long-term, full-time role that will require 8+ hours overlap with the IST time zone.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and build complicated Workflow
  • Recognize the user persona and provide a smooth experience
  • From concept to solution design, implementation, optimization, and support, provide technical competence at every stage of the project lifecycle
  • Interact with stakeholders and architects to develop technological specs for one or more project modules based on business requirements
  • Prepare the technical design of the module's components (client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization)
  • Proficient in communicating to clients and project team the benefits and drawbacks of utilizing one technology stack, component, or design pattern over another, and driving technology and design decision to arrive at the best architecture
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the build, release, and system configuration and deployment characteristics of the application by driving performance tuning, re-design, and re-factoring for a module.
  • Implements the module components based on prevailing Framework and Open-source standards & its best practices
  • Mentors and guide the team on technology concepts and best practices for design, implementation, and other processes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with React
  • Experience with JavaScript, Redux, React Native, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and HTTP
  • Proficiency with XML, JSON, DOM, and w3c standards
  • Strong understanding of basic REST Principles
  • Experience with project management systems such as JIRA, etc. 
  • Excellent performance and optimization techniques knowledge
  • Working with Git is a plus
  • Experience developing any enterprise systems like e-commerce, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.
  • Excellent English communication skills
