Job description

A top global gaming studio with offices across continents is looking for a Senior Front-end Engineer with at least 5 years of experience (with a recent 2+ years building React web applications) to join their global team. The engineer will be responsible for building innovative software solutions and owning the features of the project. The NASDAQ-listed company is backed by top names such as Activision Blizzard, MGM Resorts International, etc. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about the gaming industry and want to showcase their software skills by building really cool and engaging games for a larger audience. This job requires an overlap of at least 4 hours with PST. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, ship, and maintain web-based tools for advertisers, retailers, and internal users
  • Work with the testing team to test the applications as well as fix defects 
  • Understand product and customer priorities, and balance those against operational and technical needs
  • Optimize the application for incredible speed and scalability
  • Develop effective features to boost user experiences
  • Ensure top quality code; practice code reviews, unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests in a continuous integration environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • At least 2+ years experience working with React
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS/SASS, Web Development best practices, and Single Page Applications
  • Knowledge of MaterialUI, Webpack, and Babel
  • Experience in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Experience developing software with a team in a professional and collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas to technical and non-technical people
  • Detail-oriented and organized thought process
  • Strong debugging, profiling, and analytical skills
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated unit test cases with Jest
  • Proven ability to build high-quality products
