Job description

A U.S.-based company that is building cutting-edge technology that can track the position of anything in real-time, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will help to create the user interface highly scalable delivering a highly scalable, 3D location/positioning platform. The company's technology monitors the whereabouts of physical assets, drones, cars, phones, and the IoT. Candidates who are self-starters with the ability to see things through to completion would be the ideal fit for this opportunity. The company has managed to secure $16.4mn+ during its Series A round of funding. This position requires some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Design, code and work React.js to build out the front-end web applications
  • Develop in React-Native and/or Flutter to build the new mobile application
  • Work with REST interfaces and WebSockets to create both customer and site setup/provisioning applications
  • Understand architecture design models, Swagger OpenAPI Specs, Postman, and REST/WebSocket service delivery models
  • Identify and champion proposals to improve development processes, reduce system costs, and improve system quality
  • Be a self-starter, own your work from concept to deployment
  • Provide design and development expertise using best practices to build web and mobile user interfaces with React.js, React-Native, Node.js, and Flutter
  • Work in an environment that supports individual growth


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • 7+ years of experience commercially deploying interface developer
  • Prolific development experience with React.js, React-Native, and Flutter
  • Nice to have some development experience with NodeJS for prototyping
  • Prior experience with Amazon Web Services (Cognito, Cloud Map API, Amplify, Pinpoint) is desired while other cloud experience is a plus
  • Extensive experience creating/using automatic mobile delivery pipelines is highly desired (Xcode, Fastlane, CircleCI, etc.)
  • Experience using configuration management tools such as Jira, and  experience using version control systems such as Git is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience developing unit tests for JavaScript (Jest, Mocha, etc.)
  • Prior experience working with GitHub and CI/CD
  • Ability to debug complex software applications, performance tuning and profiling
  • Interpersonal skills and appreciation of other people's work discipline within a startup environment
  • Nice to have some experience with microservice architecture frameworks
  • Prior development experience with Linux/Unix platform is desirable
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to proactively see what needs to be done, and get it done
  • Ability to interact with the team in English (written and spoken) and  strong communication skills
