Senior Front-End Engineer

A fast-growing company that is determined to transform how computers augment the lives of users with their world-class operating systems, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with managing project deliverables, deadlines, and priorities. The U.S.-based company is creating a natural language interface for a customized operating system.  The company has managed to successfully secure $18mn+ during their Seed round of funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead technical efforts on projects with a large impact
• Motivate and mentor a geographically dispersed engineering team
• Encourage teams to be more in sync and transparent about their objectives, results, and schedules
• Create, design, test, implement, manage, and improve extensive software systems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
• At least 1+ year/s of experience leading a team of engineers as a tech lead 
• Prolific experience working with TypeScript, Next.js, Selenium, Cypress and Automation Testing
• Some knowledge of WebRTC, WebGL, and HTML Canvas is desirable
• Extensive experience or understanding of media streaming is preferred 
• Familiarity with Accessibility along with Internationalization and Localization in nice to have
• Prior experience leading a team, not just managing one, is required
• Nice to have prior working experience at a large tech firm with around 100 engineers
• Some experience leading a team of 3+ full-time engineers
• Prior experience writing design docs is preferred
• Some production-related expertise in designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining one or more apps is nice to have
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
