Job description

A fast-growing company that is revolutionizing how the internet is used on mobile screens by reducing the need to look for and download apps, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of upgrading, debugging, and troubleshooting the code for the application’s front-end. The company is building intelligent solutions to help people connect to interests in live entertainment, gaming, commerce, trends, and other areas. This position requires a significant overlap with the IST time zone. The company has managed to raise more than $387mn in funding so far, 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the front-end development for one or more of the products and work with other engineers, product managers, and visual/interaction designers to launch new products, improve upon current features, and create a top-notch user experience
  • To keep the company at the forefront of modern technology, implement cutting-edge technologies, and write cutting-edge code
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to make the site fun, safe, efficient, and accessible to all of members
  • Meet with coworkers who are working on your project(s), such as product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Work with development teams to identify and promote the creation of reusable platforms and libraries while utilizing iterative development techniques
  • Support and participate ongoing efforts to increase productivity and efficiency across the organization's operational procedures, tools, and processes
  • Participate in technical forums and make it a practice to keep up with emerging technologies
  • Take an active role in design, code reviews, and technical problems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 9-12+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Extensive experience developing large, complicated, and effective web apps across several browsers utilizing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Demonstrable experience with frameworks like React, AngularJS, etc. 
  • Strong foundational knowledge of frameworks and their life cycles
  • Thorough knowledge of the complexities of the performance monitoring timeline and the Chrome development tools
  • Solid understanding of UI performance and optimization
  • Prolific experience with network layer, cookies, HTTP, HTTPS, and local storage experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and the intricacies of space and time
  • Extensive experience developing web applications
  • Prior working experience managing projects with multiple engineers and coaching junior engineers
  • Strong technical skills and a solid foundational understanding of CSS 
  • Ability to command an excellent portfolio of the newest UI technologies is desirable
  • Nice to have extensive internationalization or localization experience
  • Ability to design and construct large-scale, distributed structures, particularly those involving APIs, middleware, Web Services, etc., is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of technologies like Cassandra, Redis, Riak, HBase, and RDBMS is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, as well as a strong visual design sense
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
