Job description

A US-based company building an online content sharing and community building platform is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer. The developer will join the team with a high level of autonomy to make architectural decisions and collaborate on developing the feed UI on desktop. The company is developing the next-generation video surface, as well as brand-new creation tools and a home for creators. They have raised more than $1bn in funding so far. This position requires 5 hours overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of site/app designs and convert them into tangible, usable interfaces
  • Utilizing multiple markup languages to write web pages
  • Perform regular site maintenance and optimization of web pages for maximum speed, scalability, and the best user experience
  • Maintain brand consistency
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of web designers, back-end developers, PMs, and system analysts to complete projects
  • Maintain technical documentation, including tests, analytics, and troubleshooting
  • Bridge the gap between visual designs and their technical implementation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • Must have knowledge of React and JavaScript
  • Experience with large userbase scale and public-facing companies is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Typescript is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional at cross-functional communication and fluency in English
