Job description

A US-based live learning platform that connects students and professionals with customized coaching, is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be collaborating with other engineers to create innovative solutions and user-facing features. The company makes it easier for students to achieve their learning goals and aims to become the largest tutoring and live instruction platform. They have managed to raise more than $100mn in funding during their Series C round. This role requires 4+ hours overlap with the PST/EST time zones. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of developing user-friendly web applications
  • Contribute to every aspect of the development process including design, development, testing, and support
  • Collaborate with product team and stakeholders to understand expectations and communicate progress
  • Design and develop responsive solutions for website applications
  • Maintain and fine-tune applications to optimize performance
  • Stay updated about emerging technologies and drive improvements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • Expertise in working with React and related technologies is essential
  • Ability to take ownership of front-end development tasks
  • Knowledge of working with languages like Ruby on Rails and Golang is highly desirable
  • Ability to work with programming languages like Python and Django will be useful
  • Experience in building Java-based applications is preferred
