Job description

A US-based company that offers a live learning platform for students of all ages to partake in online classes and learn in a fun, engaging manner is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and improving the style, maintainability, and best practices to establish a high-scale web environment. The platform provides users with hand-picked, highly qualified specialists from various fields to assist students in broadening their educational horizons. The company has raised funding worth $100mn+ during their Series C round. This role requires at least 4+ hours overlap with the PST and EST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve customers' problems in quick iterations
  • Innovate, recommend and implement new solutions/technologies for improvements
  • Build scalable, low latency, and highly performant services
  • Maintain and execute end-to-end web architecture
  • Communicate clearly and effectively amongst team members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end Developer
  • Experience working with React and related technologies
  • Nice to have some experience with Ruby on Rails and Golang
  • Expertise in Python, Django, and Java is a plus
  • Excellent management and organizational skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
