Senior Front-End Developer

A US-based online marketplace that helps brands and customers to connect efficiently and arrive at decisions is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer. Job Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, optimize, and execute the entire software development life cycle (e.g., planning, design, testing, releases, etc.)
• Maintain SEO best-practices and implementation
• Designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript
• Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate components into a fully functional system
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Integrate code with Git and perform reviews with other team members
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources in and demonstrating respect for others
• Optimizing page load, animation, and rendering performance

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in HTML, SCSS, and modern CSS
• 5+ years of experience in vanilla JavaScript (not jQuery but npm, Webpack, yarn)
• Experience with Python and Django
• Proficiency with testing tools and unit testing
• Previous experience with responsive web development best practices, accessibility best practices, and implementation
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e., Git, svn, etc.)
• Experience building clean, semantic HTML markup
• Experience with CSS pre-processing (e.g., SCSS and CSS post-processing)
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, especially ES6 with OOP, and unit testing
• Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Experience creating clean CSS with BEM methodology
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs, handling cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
