Job description

A rapidly growing US-based company that is revolutionizing the biotechnology industry, is looking for a Senior Front-end Developer. The selected candidate will be helping the team to develop tools and an open API designed to facilitate the integration of genetic data into software. The VC-backed company is the world's largest marketplace for DNA analysis apps and reports that analyze DNA data from any given test (23andMe, AncestryDNA, genome sequencing) and provide clear solutions for better health. This is an excellent opportunity for developers to work on building technologies that are changing lives and the world. This role requires 5+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build user-friendly web-based applications
  • Be involved in all major software engineering aspects: designing, development, testing & support
  • Collaborate with product team and management to understand and shed light on development cycles
  • Understand and develop responsive solutions for web-apps
  • Keep track of emerging technologies and drive improvements
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize funnels, and improve bounce rates and conversions
  • Migrate complicated e-commerce marketplace platforms from a CMS such as Drupal to React/Gatsby/modern CMSs (such as Contentful, headless Drupal 9, etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a front-end developer 
  • Previous experience in developing e-commerce solutions and digital marketplaces
  • In-depth knowledge of using React, Gatsby, Contentful, and Shopify Plus 
  • Ability to develop services keeping technical SEO protocols in mind and taking the latest technical SEO trends into consideration
  • Experience working with tools like GA, GSC, Hotjar, and more to improve UI/UX
